Amethyst was never really into killing dragons like the rest of her tribe. Which made her hardly a viking at all, in her village's eyes. So, she leaves, taking her trusted dragon friend with her. But what happens, after months of travel, when she stumbles into Hiccup and the other dragon riders? Will she end up staying with them on Dragon's Edge? Or will all the new dangers that come with the job get to her first?

It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Follow the brave Viking on a journey filled with joy, pain and even love, as he comes back to Berk... quite unexpectedly. 20/07/18: Changed the dialogue format and corrected a few grammatical errors. A Runaways Resolve, A Dragon Master's Legacy
You have likely seen it all before, Hiccup gets chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare but instead of staying to try and prove to his village dragons aren't the monsters they think they are, he leaves. Abandons the world he knows for a world of possibility, a world where he can be him, be free. What if he is one day discovered by a group of dragon riders and chose to join them as they had adventure after adventure. It would be a good life but of course it would never stay so happy, things would change sometimes for the better sometimes for worse. Old scars would surface, old lives reappear and new faces vanish, how would this affect him. Well shall we find out? I don't own the How To Train Your Dragon franchise of course and this is all done for fun. You know the legal stuff. I also don't own the image, I got it off of google as one could expect. For now the story isn't Mature though this may change in the future as I continue so I will make sure to change that if it becomes necessary, just an early warning just in case I break a guideline.
