I keep counting to pass the time. I play connect the dots to keep my mind busy. To keep it from roaming back to my thoughts. The thoughts I don't like. The ones that keep me up at night and force me to throw up my dinner. But I'm not going to stay like this everyday of my life, I'm going to find the missing piece in my chest. That's where the thoughts may come from. From a place empty enough to fill in the gap with negativity. But don't worry, because I'm in attempt to find my star. The real one that doesn't just temporarily pass time. The one that keeps me happy day after day. I'm counting the stars, and I may just find the sun.
