In a dreary group home lives a band of teens who only want to be free.

The story begins with Raina's audition into the broken, once legendary band, The Scum. Ray, the band's lead guitarist scrapped the band when his former lead singer was adopted and seemingly ditched them all. Dough, Ray and Brent were all best friends and grew up in the system together. After Jeremy's adoption Ray was never the same.

But Raina, the new girl in the group home enters into their lives like a storm and teaches them how to rock again while they teach her how to love.
