{Highest rank: #279} "Why are you doing this to me?" said the girl, who was chained to the wall. She was covered in blood, presumably her own, and had tear stains on her face and clothes. She was severely weakened by the beatings of her attacker. Her face, arms, and legs were covered in whip marks and cuts of all kinds. There was no way she was going to escape if she tried. The chains were too strong, and the wall they were attached to was concrete. In her weakened state, she knew that all hope was gone. All she thought about was trying to get her unknown attacker to stop doing what he was doing. She had no idea what she'd done to deserve this brutality. It would've been nice if this mystery man would tell her who he was and what he wanted with her.

The attacker didn't answer. He stayed still with his back to her, completely silent. She decided to ask him again. "What do you want with me?!"

He turned around slowly, still with his mask on, so his face was concealed. She couldn't quite seem to recall his voice either, smooth like honey, though bitter, like coffee grounds.

"Revenge."

"For what?" the fear in her voice was impossible to miss, but she didn't care.

"Like you don't know," he said, pure disgust coloring his voice, "Have you really forgotten?"

"What?"

"Have you forgotten what you've done to the outcasts that wanted nothing but to be left alone?"

"I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Then you'll sit there and tolerate what I do to you until you remember."

The last thing she heard was the crack of a baseball bat against her skull and a piercing scream that filled the night. She realized that scream was her own, just before fading out of consciousness.

It was so simple and yet he couldn't make her understand. How did their relationship end up like this? He loved her and she loved him, didn't she? Then why? "I cannot do so, Dolcezza. I'll go crazy without you, you cannot leave me, I won't allow you to." And she shook her head, a laugh-filled with disbelief escaping her lips as she struggled to unbind herself from the chains. "Then at least free me of them." "No." A love so vicious it binds. A madness so deep it consumes. Escape is an illusion, and freedom... a cruel dream. He was her rock, her best friend, her first love. He became her worst nightmare, her tormentor, her captor She was his everything. His obsession. Their story should have ended with that court case, but he's found a way back to her, and he won't give her another opportunity to escape. Not this time. ------------------------------------------- Shivering, I sobbed out, unable to speak, unable to move. "Shh, shh, now baby-girl, it's alright, you're safe, don't cry" he soothed, moving closer to me. "N-Noah, I w-want to go home," I sobbed, feeling weak from my inability to talk without stuttering. A gasp left my parted lips as his hand forcefully connected with my cheek, "You are home, so I don't want to hear that crap from you, okay?" shaking, I looked down at my feet, his gaze too menacing to hold. "I said, do you understand" he spit through clenched teeth, "y-yes, I'm sorry" I whispered, a new wave of tears making their appearance. "Good girl, now I need you to keep being a good girl, okay?" nodding, my eyes met his dark ones. His form towered over me, making me feel small and irrelevant. "Words, Embry!" He demanded as I stuttered out a quiet yes. I studied him cautiously as he walked towards the far end of the room, shuffling through drawers before stalking back towards me and crouching down. I sucked in a breath as I saw the knife in his hand, his face held a mischievous grin as it glinted in the light. "Now baby-girl, you see, as much as I hate to, you need to be punished, do you know why?" Warning! This story is for mature audience, it contains strong language, abuse, mature themes and sensitive topics. Please enjoy, -Aphrodite.

She first met him in a therapy group for trauma survivors. He didn't speak much, but his eyes lingered too long, as though he could peel back her skin and read every wound carved into her bones. She told herself it was wrong, that she should avoid him, but the silence between them became magnetic. When they finally spoke, it wasn't gentle. It was raw. He told her he saw the same madness in her that lived inside him, the same hunger to feel something sharp, something real. Their first kiss tasted like blood-his lip split when she bit too hard, and instead of stopping, he pulled her closer. Soon, their nights together blurred between sex and confession. They carved secrets into each other's skin, whispered things no one else could ever hear. But his love was never safe-it was possessive, suffocating, like drowning in warm water. He wanted to break her just to put her back together. She wanted to burn in him until nothing of herself remained. The deeper they sank, the less they could tell the difference between passion and violence, between devotion and destruction. She began seeing him in places he couldn't possibly be-in mirrors, in her dreams, in the shadows of her room. He said he was inside her now, that their bond was irreversible. When her therapist asked about the bruises on her neck, she smiled and said nothing. Because the truth was this: she didn't want to be saved. She wanted to be consumed. And so she let him.

✭⋆𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞⋆✭ "Why did you not listen to me?"I whispered against her lips, my voice husky with a mixture of anger and possessiveness. "I can do anything I please. You have no right to dictate my movements," she retorted, her voice firm. My grip on her waist tightened involuntarily. "Let's go to bed, and I'll show you exactly who I am to you,"I growled, scooping her up in my arms and carrying her towards the bed. I hovered over her, intertwining our hands and gazing intently into her eyes, a venomous glint in my own. "Tell me what you see in my eyes,"I demanded, my voice low and dangerous. Strangely, she remained remarkably calm, her demeanor almost serene. Finally, she spoke, her voice barely a whisper, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "A child," she murmured softly. "What?" I barked, my eyebrows furrowing in confusion. "A little boy," she continued, her voice gaining strength, "who desperately needs protection. A boy who yearns for love, for acceptance, for someone to hold him and never let go. A boy who has always been the shoulder to lean on for others, yet has never found a shoulder to cry on himself. And I... I love this boy." Her smile was fragile, a fleeting expression that mirrored the softening of my own grip on her hands. My eyes stung with a sudden, unexpected wave of emotion. ✰ Falling in love with the daughter of his father's murderer, he found his carefully constructed revenge plan crumbling before his eyes. Blood Runs Thicker by Elora_Elysia

The first time Mira saw him, he was bleeding. A cold night. A flickering streetlamp. He sat on the curb, knuckles split, blood dripping onto the pavement like ink staining a page. She should have walked away. Should have pretended she didn't see him. But she didn't. Instead, she crouched beside him, her voice soft but steady. "Who did this to you?" He laughed-a low, bitter sound. "Does it matter?" Mira didn't know his name yet. But when their eyes met, something inside her recognized him. Not his face. Not his voice. His pain. Because she had the same kind buried in her bones. --- His name was Riven. And trouble followed him like a shadow. He never spoke about his past. Never explained the bruises. Never asked for help. But Mira saw the anger in his fists, the exhaustion in his shoulders. The war he fought every time he looked in the mirror. And despite herself, she stayed. Even when he told her to leave. Even when his darkness bled into her light. Even when she knew-this would destroy her. --- One night, he showed up at her door, drenched in rain, eyes empty. "I did something bad." Mira's breath caught. "What did you do?" Riven didn't answer. He just looked at her, jaw clenched, chest rising and falling like he was trying to breathe through whatever monster was clawing at his ribs. And she knew. It wasn't just a fight this time. It wasn't just another wound to clean up. He had crossed a line. And now, there were only two options-run, or drown with him. Mira should have been afraid. Should have shut the door, called the police, saved herself. But love made people stupid. So she stepped forward, wiped the blood from his cheek, and whispered, "Then we leave. Together." Because blood runs thicker than water. And love? Love was the thing that made you stay-even when you knew it would kill you.
