There was a stranger, one with numerous phone calls to make and an appointment in a few minutes. Walking down the busy streets of Northwood, this stranger would not notice the girl's return at all. Even if the stranger just happened to glance at her, it would simply be a normal teenage girl that would be seen. There would be nothing, albeit the girl's red hair, that would make the girl stand out. However, with another glance into what this girl had just gone through, and where this girl would end up going, the story would be completely different.
At first, she was just a normal girl. Emerald lived the life of a talented, enjoyable teenager. But a move turned into a trap. An escape turned into a kidnapping. A stranger turned into family. And talented turned into powerful.
So a normal life changed into an adventure, and a warless world started to become a home of conflict. As a result, there's a story to tell now.

Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero. I was a fairly normal girl, growing up in Central City. A city where superheroes and super villains didn't exist... until the particle accelerator exploded. Many people were turned into these metahumans, me being one of them. Likely one of the only changed nine year olds at the time. My parents were both scientists for Star Labs, being two of the many others that died in the blast. Needing to get away, I decided to move to Gotham. A good city to hide in. Maybe it wasn't the best city to move to, but, in the end, I'm glad I did. In the crazy town, I was adopted by the two craziest people there. The Deranged Duo, Harley Quinn and Joker. "Rescued by villains, who knew?" I say. "Villains rescue fellow villains," Joker says. "Sounds funny coming from you," I scoff. "Aww, is that the way you should treat your saviors?" Joker teases. "I could've taken them," I scoff. "Why did you save me?" "We watched you take out the last group of thugs," Harley says. "We've been looking for a protégé, sorta like how Batsy has that sidekick, Robin, was it?" Joker grins. "We like you. You're funny." ... Too bad he's in love with another girl. But maybe, just maybe, even without her voice, she can get him to come around. But first she'll have to figure out how to unite the kingdoms of the land and sea with her friend Ella. Ella has a lot on her plate. She's besties with a mermaid ambassador who can control water, maid to the Queen and her daughter and can suddenly she's moving things around the place - thank god she didn't take that lady's eye out... she's met the most annoying guy in the world(who cares if he's hot?), who just happens to be Amberley's fiancee and her hidden heritage is about to shock her. But together, these 4 girls are going to do some daring things like stop a string of murders, learn the meaning of friendship, take down a crappy ruler and figure out who they are. Morgan Carter was put in the camps and wasn't able to come out the same way she came in. She became their pet telekinetic/assassin, ready to kill and torture without hesitation and knew how to. She forgot her old life, including her name. Rylie Garner paraded as Light Glider around his city-their own personal superhero-escaping being caught with the help of his friends while trying to find his little supernatural sister, who was taken.
