Dear Reader,

If you are looking for a story about cheerful events, and believe that the book title is a misnomer, and this is the very book you are looking for, put this book down, go back to the library, and do one of two things: A, take the biggest dictionary you can find and slam your head repeatedly with it until you have realized you can't comprehend book titles, or B, go search the library for a cheerful book.
Truth be told, this story is anything but cheerful, unless you are some deranged criminal who finds murder, kidnapping, harpoon guns, and lots of crying to be cheerful.
It is my unfortunate duty to take over the study of the Baudelaire orphans from my Uncle Lemony, and begin researching and writing the next miserable chapter of their lives.
Unless you do not want a good night's sleep for the next month, you should probably put this book down and back slowly away from it.

     With all due respect,
                                            -Allison Snicket

The family is happy until the day the mansion burns down with the parents inside it. The Baudelaire children, now orphans, aren't so happy anymore. They are placed in the care of a careless banker, who, in accordance with the Baudelaire parents' will, sends them to live with two separate, but equally unknown, relatives - in between two locations not listed in the will. No matter if the location is in their parents' wishes or not, the Baudelaires are pursued by villainous actor and active villain, Count Olaf. With the assistance of his horrid henchpeople, Count Olaf tries to get his rarely washed hands on the enormous fortune the Baudelaire parents left behind for their children through a manner of nefarious plots, including kidnapping, disguises, trickery, hypnotism, murder, and, most terrible of all, badly done theatre. ㊋㊋㊋㊋ Book 1 in the 𝘈 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘞𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘖𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 series. ㊋㊋㊋㊋ NOTE: This story is written in 2nd person, but the character is an OC rather than Y/n.
