Sometimes the gods take special note of which parents of their children are especially great. Sometimes when they find a parent unfit they move their demigod child out of that home, and to a more fit home. It's a demigod-foster-system of sorts. The home is put under a ward, which blocks out any source that monsters could use to find the demigod children.

When they arrive, Poseidon tells them that he want the 2 of them to go on a question in California, to retrieve a demigod. They wonder why a satyr can't do it, or why it has to be them, not anyone else. After a bit of convincing, they're on their way to Cali, via plane, credit to Zeus. What they don't know, is that another mysterious young demigod was also assigned to this quest. Hali Peterson. Daughter of Poseidon, born in 1937, dropped in the Lotus Casino at age 14, till her father pulled her out in the middle of the Giant War, in hopes to gain some more power in the underwater battle that raging at his palace.
