One day, people will walk through the halls of The Louvre, and people will admire her works of art. Young children and aspiring artists will yearn to be an famous painter, just like Evaelle Trompeur. It used to seem like a reachable goal- but as of recently, this just doesn't seem so. It's become some bitter-sweet, far off fantasy.

Evaelle's world started crumbling at her feet the moment her father's newscaster job yanked them from Brussels, Belgium, and dropped her in Paris, France, where she was eaten a live by one of her classmates, got stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time, let down by the most popular boy in her class, and ridiculed by a local superhero.

It was a formula for disaster from the start, and the hurt put Evaelle behind a mask.

She became completely artificial.
