After a movie night gone wrong, small town best friends Lacy Marshall and Rebecca Flanagan wake up in the world of The Purge.
Family man James Sandin never expected to find two teenage girls on the side of the road, abandoned and alone, on his daily drive home from work. James and his family kindly take them in and offer to let them stay until their parents are found. However, when James starts to get suspicious of the girls' real intentions, tensions start to flare up. But, when a group of strangers led by the unnamed Polite Leader threaten the Sandins, James and his family are forced to trust Lacy and Rebecca, and let them fight alongside them. Things go very wrong, however, when Lacy's fangirl mode kicks into overdrive as she falls in love with Polite Leader, which puts everyone in danger. Can Rebecca save the family, and her best friend before the night is over, or will she end up dead, like the many that are slaughtered on the bloodiest night of the year?
