I stared at the man in front of me and took no more than two seconds before picking up the elegant black pen stationed in a fancy cup holder on his desk and signed my name quickly on the required portions of the document in front of me. Once the pen lifted from the page Cain took the paper from me and signed below my own name as a witness and dated the document. I wondered with little humor if this would be our anniversary.
