Time passed by meaninglessly as I tried to understand the meaning of those words that echoed throughout my soul. I stood there on the steel tower; slowly gazing above the ominous endless sky, No moon or Star shone that night. I can't help but feel like my whole body was aching like something inside me was missing. What was the reason that made these cold silver days lonesome? I slowly closed my eyes and buried my face within the red scarf wrapped around my neck and thought to myself. "It's pointless". I took a small turn and decide to leave for the night. Then out of nowhere, white dust seemingly fell from the sky. Then it suddenly made sense. Finally, I found the answer I was looking for all these years. "Who's there," I can't breath. I'm always looking over my shoulder ever since- I can't think about the now. I have to run but where, back to Jake? No I can't, everything is different now. He's supposed to be here to protect me, because if the got me... blood smears the pages of the passed. "Sapphire!" I hear him call. "Coal!" I reach out to touch him only for him to be yanked just out of my reach. I hear the wolves in the distance howling at the beautiful moon. I need his touch again. I need to know I'm safe. The only safe place anymore is pressed against him under the sheets. "Coal!" I call out again. ---I can hear her. She's here somewhere I know it. I can smell her sent threw the thick of the woods. "Sapphire!" I call out, but my call is lost in the night. I have to protect her. I have to save one, just one. Maybe that will be enough to clean the blood off my tainted skin. What if they get her? She'll... Change... I look up at the moon, could she not have heard my howls? Of course she did. She always did. I can hear the other wolves in the forest. Soon I too would be engulfed by the beast. Unable to control myself, unable to predict the beasts next move. Only she could tame the beast inside me. Why be afraid of the monster under the bed when you should be afraid of the one lying next to you under the sheets.--- I keep quiet in the deep dark night. Watching her waiting for her to come back to me. I wait for him to slip up just long enough for me to swoop in and take her. It's only a matter of time. I wait for him to turn into that hideous beast. The beast that only comes out in the light of the moon. The beast that feeds of the insentient. I have to find her,to make her perfect, at least that's what they tell me. They tell me she'll be perfect and she will be mine. She will be the beginning of a new ere the ere of the beast. No one stopped to look. No one glanced in the alley I cried in. I was tired of this place, so tired of the endless days that stretched out before me. The emptiness in my heart was eating me alive, with no end in sight. My own darkness was swallowing me whole and leaving nothing alive. The tears froze on my bright red cheeks. I was tired of feeling so broken, but most of all I was tired of being so alone. I pulled out the cold heavy weapon from my coat and stared at it. "If someone would look this way," I thought, "If someone would just glance at me and see my pain. I won't do it." There was a man standing in front of me. After he removed the single bullet from my pistol, he handed it back to me, and left. I followed the man at a distance back to his apartment. He knew that I had followed him and waited at the door to let me in. For reasons I cannot explain I entered his tiny apartment. I fell asleep at the table playing with the bullet and woke up to my alarm the following morning. There was a pillow beneath my head, a blanket over my shoulders, and a note that read: "Dear Stranger..."

However, this time he provided me with more than enough heat that I slept comfortably on top of him. I know. How evil am I if I sleep on top of my little dog? But you got to remember, I was ninety nine percent asleep during this time, I didn't know what I was doing, I just knew I had found something very warm and comfortable to sleep on. In the morning, I was laying on top of something. I nuzzled my head in it. I sleepily opened my eyes to be met with a bare, muscly chest instead of the black and white fur of my puppy. I looked up to see a guy asleep on my bed. What the heck?!

I lifted the edge of the red and white scarf that vaguely resembled a pokèball and lifted it over my ears so that it covered the tip of my nose and down. My dull eyes searched the area to make sure nobody was around. I sighed and lifted my toes. I stood on my heels for awhile than I made my self go off balance. I heard the pound of footsteps coming closer. They where too late. The wind whipped around me making my scarfs end fly in front of me. Everything seemed to slow down as I was halfway from the bridge and the raging current that was I was currently falling to my death towards. I looked up to the edge of the bridge to see a figure leaning over the edge. Their shoulders shook. I suddenly felt guilty. A flood of guilt as I realized that I didn't want to die anymore. That I wanted to see their faces again. I felt tears fall down my face. I was stupid and everyone was going to pay the price for it. I felt a sudden shock of pain as my back hit the water. Coldness engulfed me. It welcomed me. I couldn't breath. I CANT BREATH.

Have you ever walked outside at night? When it's so dark and you can't see a thing at first? I often do that and I'm never afraid. Because I know that after a while my eyes will adjust to the dark and I will be able to make things stand out. I'm always safe. I always know where I am. But not today, it was so dark, all I could see was a suffocating darkness around me. Aria my wolf huffed in annoyance when even she couldn't see a thing or couldn't pick up a scent around us. 'Ophelia, what's happening?' she muttered. 'I don't know' I whispered back aloud. The words had barely left my mouth when I heard something running quickly in our direction. She fought, but in the end her heart won out and because she could not kill him, she simply trapped him. Forever. ____________________________________ I ran through the woods. The trees seemed to bend towards me. The farther I went, the darker the world seemed to get. The color also seemed to dim as I ran. But I didn't pay much attention to that. I finally came to a large clearing, near the center was an hourglass, it was made out of diamond. I walked up to it. It was so thick I could barley see inside, although I did see something inside. I reached out and touched the diamond, it seemed to melt away leaving glass. I then spotted a man about my age throwing fire at the walls. I screamed. Then I woke up. It was just a dream, right?
