Pete's been abused by his drug-addicted and drunken father for as long as he knows. He knows no diffrent. His father's always looked down on him, making him feel less of himself everyday.

Patrick's always seen his school through the slits of a locker. He cant escape the constant bullying, no matter what he does. His mom is barely even fit to be a mother, she's never home and even when she is, she's dunk and surrounded in men from the bar. All Patrick wants is his dad to come back, but he knows thats impossible, considering its been five years since he died.

Yet when these two log onto an online chat room, they may just realize what they've been looking for is just behind a screen

But underneath those layers of being socially aware, Pete is also very caring, this demeanor masked by his popularity.
