You have to understand how empowered I felt, as if nothing could touch me. I never thought about what happens when the smoke is so thick you can't see where you've come from, or when the oxygen is so thin you can't even get enough air to scream. You just have to understand that I never thought this could happen to me.
But then again, I guess no one ever does.
