Nysal knew from the moment she was born she was different from the others. Their race was known by the nickname of birthmark, their birthmarks were symbols of power. The larger your's was, the more powerful you were. Their magic was dying out though, so the symbols her people bared were getting smaller and smaller. But their rulers had the largest ones, almost covering their entire bodies. She didn't know just how different she was, until she met others in her race.
