Many have described the mind as a labyrinth. A series of chemical hallways so difficult to navigate that it takes some hundreds of years to figure out it's basic mechanics.

None hold this metaphor more true than the man who lies down next to me.

My lover is a curious soul. He locks his door during the day but keeps it open a crack at night. I hear his
sobs behind the walls and when he leaves his apartment he wears his hoodie like battle armour.

I want him to be happy. I want him to be free. But more than that, I want the labyrinth of his beautiful mind to lead him back home to me.
