"When did you become my dad, Sam?"
"When I realized I'd do anything to protect you."
"Bullshit! You were getting paid to protect me, and even then, it wasn't real, so stop acting like you care about what the fuck I do!"
"I do care!"
"Since when?"
"Since You've fucking made me different, changed me, I don't know, shit! You just - you make me wanna, like be good around you and shit. No other girl has done that. And there have been a lot of girls."
"Really? Thanks!" I said sarcasm filling me voice. "I'm leaving."
"No, it's not like that - I - I mean like, I don't know how to say it."
"Then I'm leaving." I said and began walking out of the door of his room. I reached the door before he pulled me back and forced me to him, holding me as close as possible. His hand resting on my waist and his other hand on my cheek. He leaned in and kissed me. He didn't have to say anything else.

She was lost and so was he. Who knew that two broken hearts can connect to one. Arabella's world has been rigged since the day she was born. Her fate had been decided for her much longer before she even had been conceived in the womb. So it came as no surprise when she found herself back at the beginning. As if the pain she has previously experienced wasn't enough, she now needs to relearn how to balance her life. She can't help but pray to the universe for a break. She was exhausted from fighting for all she had and watching her life fall apart just as quickly as it had come back together. Dominic's life was something he would forever be grateful for since he knew that he never had it as rough as others. But there were always going to be times that he wanted to give up. With the responsibility of leading an entire mafia and his own past commitment issues, he believes the barrier to letting go is far greater than what others tell him. And when new desires emerge, he notes how his heart skips a beat whenever he sees her. His instinct kicks in, and he raises his barriers twice as high as she lowers hers to make place for him. All I was guilty of, was showing them mercy when no one else would. ~~~ "I saw you, Dominic. I wish you saw me." "I see you." I freeze at his words, my back facing him. "I can only see you. Everything I look at, everything I touch, everything I smell always leads back to you. I spent most of my life thinking that my heart was my biggest weakness. I always imagined that it would be my downfall. I had a loving family and that was enough for me. Getting a girlfriend, getting married, having a family, none of that mattered to me. Before you." He pauses, taking a breath and my eyes water. "I kept any other part of my heart guarded and almost locked. It was as if I didn't have one at all. Even now, its still fucked up. The lock I've kept is warned out though the only person who has its key is you. It's yours."

[COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. "Thought you could get away, didn't you?" The man who I saw before asks. His husky voice booms in the hollow tunnel, reverberating off of the dirt walls. His voice sounds familiar, and a realization strikes me. It sounds like the man from my dream. I remember him holding a gun and wearing a blue suit, smiling evilly at me. "Leave us alone," Joey says, sounding dangerous and snapping me out of my thoughts. The levity of the situation hits-we need to get out of here. I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living. She had good friends, good grades, a happy family, a loving boyfriend, and an overall content life, seemingly having everything a person could ask for. I thought I knew what pain was. I was wrong. But at least, I got something good out of it- a person who protected me above all else. Daniel Nicholas Castello, a charming but brooding billionaire who hated me before he even knew me. He saved me from the world and so I mistook him for a hero. He wasn't a hero, though. He was the devil. And I fell for him. - "I have given you the freedom to do a lot of things, sweetheart, slapping me is not one of them," Daniel growls at me. "Let go of my hand." "No." Both of us glare at each other in silence- neither willing to back down first. I should be the one to back down first because I started our fight, I provoked him and as sorry as I feel for that, I did not deserve what he called me. Daniel's eyes shift to my lips for less than a second but its enough to change something between us. It's enough for all the anger between us to be replaced by lust. "Let go of my hand," I repeat, breathlessly, but this time my voice is different- quieter and unconvincing. He looks into my eyes again, leans in and brushes my lips with his. "No." -
