Sarah Allen is an ordinary teenager with a simple life of sitcoms and romance novels until one night she gets a text from her bad-boy crush, Dave Rodriguez.

Apparently, Dave has mistaken the cell number of head cheerleader Caroline Roberts with Sarah's. Desperate and craving to converse with the supposed Romeo of her life; and also knowing she would never get a chance otherwise, Sarah does the stupidest, dumbest, craziest, whackiest thing a girl can do (and regrets it almost instantaneously). She texts him back, pretending to be Caroline.

This goes on for days. Months. Something that started out as an embarrassing mistake grows into much more than Sarah could have imagined. They text till midnight, talking about their favourite authours, constellations and mullet rock. Never did Sarah expect their tastes in music and coffee flavours to match, let alone Dave falling in love with her.

Should she tell him the truth? Dave might never forgive her, but worse, he might not be the only one in love...

Melody's Crush by AloraDillon

Aren't one sided crushes fun? NOT! 18 year old Melody Jenkins has spent the last 3 years of high school crushing on one guy, Jake Kensington, who sees her as no more than a sister from another mister and best friend. Not wanting to risk their friendship, Melody has kept her crush a secret and her emotions in check whenever she's around him... which is daily since they live on the same property. It's her senior year and she has made it through the past three years of high school with little social psychological trauma. That's excellent considering she goes to a school in Los Angeles where the majority of the bored students graduating will have executive paying jobs the moment they walk across stage. If all goes well, she will graduate as the valedictorian with multiple offers from colleges on the East Coast, far away from California. But when the health teacher announces a "special" project that requires students to be paired and live under the same roof for one week, Melody's world gets completely turned upside down. She is forced to spend time with someone totally opposite of her and frankly, she can't stand... or so she thought. One night of catching a glimpse of the softer side of Kyle Warner, the school's most popular and arrogant quarterback, has her heart pounding and her stomach doing flip-flops. But when Melody shows an ounce of affection toward Kyle, Jake discovers feelings of his own as he tries to protect his best friend from the guy he knows Kyle can be. As the project comes to an end, Melody goes to homecoming... will it be a night to remember, forget or both? Be advised, this contemporary Teen / Young Adult Romance story has some strong language and strong sexual connotation.

It All Started With A Dare

7 parts Complete

"So here I am, bawling my eyes out on my bed. I've got mascara streaming down my face, my eyes are red and puffy, I can't breathe, and it feels like my heart is physically breaking inside. I'm looking at sad, crush quotes and, if you couldn't tell by that clue, this is all over a boy: a dumb, horrible, most caring, sweet, funny, and lovely boy. A guy who I am absolutely infatuated with but will never like me back. He hates me, and it all started because of a stupid dare," ------------------------------ Lanabeth Valentine has never been one to turn down a dare, even if that means leaving a not so stellar first impression on the new guy at school. Entirely embarrassed, she plans to never speak about the event and avoid the new kid, Caleb Hunter, at all cost, which isn't easy when he's her next door neighbor and their families have weekly Friday night dinners together. Caleb Hunter has never been one to follow the rules, and after Lanabeth leaves a very lasting first impression, Caleb has made it his mission in life to drive Lanabeth Valentine insane. But as horrible as Caleb Hunter is, he may be exactly what Lanabeth needs at the moment. *this book is published on Amazon under It All Started with a Dare by Rachelle Díaz Valle This book is a sample of the completed novel available for sale
