Sent from the Ukraine to the United States to become the Shield Vampyre of a well-respected and high up Sanguivore, Bohdana Volodymyr finds herself in situations left and right.

When she first began her journey, her only duty and mindset was to protect her designated Sanguine. But overtime, that seemed to become much harder to do.

Bohdana stumbles into ghosts of her past, finds herself in battles of her own, gets reassigned to new Sanguine, and.. falls in love?

All the while, keeping it together to do the one thing that had been engraved into her entire being to do since birth, protect the Sanguivores.

With humans threatening not only their existence, but her own race as well, can Bohdana even be able to keep them from the hands of their most long-lived enemy?

The other, more dangerous, type of their kind. The Kanívaloi.

With new acquaintances, a potential lover, and her designated Sanguine- Bohdana hopes she can hold everything together, and keep all that she loves safe and out of harms way.
