On the fateful day of the death of his girlfriend, Kieran Miller's life could never be the same again - not when he was the reason she died. It's his final year of high school and not a day goes by that he does not think of her, his parents try to keep him sane, but the pain and his anger at the unfairness of life conquers him. As the year continues, another devastation takes place, leaving him without a mother and a wife for his father. Soon he gets behind with his schoolwork, and loses most of his friends. Life could never be the same again, love could never feel the same again, but that's what he thought. Until, he's tamed by her kindness.

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. I am no stranger to unrequited love; the yearning for someone to love you back as badly as you love them Unrequited love is passionate, unapologetic and can't be tamed. It's also very tiring, and from time to time hurts Like Hell. If loving someone who could never love you back was a skill, I'd have mastered it Which is why I've made myself this promise that If ever I was in the position to find myself falling in love again, the candidate I've fallen for needs to love me back, needs to want me back And if not..... There's no compromise, I won't break my promise, I won't fall in love if I'm not sure if he could love me back. So if there's a slight possibility that I do fall.....No scratch that He needs to fall in love with me. Amber Lincoln a 22 year old student who has never been in a relationship till present day, aims to change that, soon. Plus minus the fact that she is still working through the trauma of the death of her twin sister, father and the attempted suicide of her mother, an insane sex drive for someone who has never had sex because of standards for men created by the men portrayed in movies and books. And a boy who might possibly never want her, whom she might be infatuated with despite promising herself that she wouldnt fall for someone who didnt undoubtedly want her, so she'll spend her time convincing herself that shes not interested in him At least until she convinces him that she is the ultimate love of his life This definitely feels like Amber's year

[QUOTE MENTIONED IN THE STORY] "Oh, is Mattheo jealous?" she teased, her voice slurring a bit, a playful grin on her lips. "Shut the fuck up and dance," I muttered, trying to ignore the heat rising in my chest, the way my heart pounded just looking at her. She started moving, her body close to mine, her hips swaying to the music. It was slow, deliberate, driving me absolutely insane. She knew it too. I grabbed her waist, pulling her against me, trying to keep a straight face even though I was losing my mind inside. She looked up at me, her eyes half-lidded, her lips parted slightly, and I could barely breathe. Every inch of me wanted her - wanted to pin her up against the wall and just take her right there. She is so fucking perfect. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Mia Martinez is a normal student at Hogwarts and the only daughter of the Martinez family. Always the same routine, the same friends and the same introverted and sweet girl she has always been. The thing is, she has never experienced true love before.
