This is a prompt story I'm writing with a group I belong to - Story Orgy (including great authors like Lee Brazil, Hank Edwards, and Em Woods). We specialize in writing stories on our blogs on Mondays that are based on prompts. It's an exercise we began back in 2011.

This story has been sitting on my back-burner for about 3-4 years. I didn't believe I could write something so off the wall and far from my typical style...but it was one of those stories that wouldn't leave me alone. You know the kind, right? You keep thinking about it - replaying the same scenes over and over in your head, tease yourself with how it might end, but you're not completely sure...

So finally it's getting its day. Parallels isn't like books I've written before - and probably won't be like ones I write after either.

But it is here now, and I should update it on a weekly basis...so I hope you enjoy. :)

*At this point in the plotting, I can assure you that Parallels will have at least a HFN ending - but since my characters have a tendency to do what they want when they want changes occur quite frequently.All Rights Reserved

The teachers don't understand. He can't tell them why. He can't say anything at all. Ross understands. Ross writes to him. Slowly, he pulls Jude out of his shell, waiting for him to say something. ----- Say Something is a story of overcoming fear with the help of friendship and love. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, I tried to do something a little different with my writing style this time by including a lot of thoughts and feelings rather than a ton of description and detail. I'd like to add that it mentions things like sex and violence but I don't plan on going into any graphic detail in this story. There is also occasional cursing.
