Yes I stole the plot from the actual book snd stuffed Dan and Phil into it. I can't create a whole plot in that universe, who do you think I am? J.K. Rowling? (Note: THIS IS A PLATONIC PHAN AU BECAUSE THEY'RE SUPER CUTE AND UNDER-APPRECIATED) (Another note: I know parts of this doesn't line up with that's true in the actual Harry Potter universe bUT THIS IS MY BOOK AND I CAN DO WHAT I WANT GOSH DARN IT) (Last note I'm sorry: I made Dan a Ravenclaw in this book for multiple reasons. One, in literally every other fanfiction he's a Slytherin so I wanted to make mine different in that aspect. Two, Dan Howell is really freaking wise. Like, he totally could be a Ravenclaw.
