"There is no such thing as fear." Bexley Johnson, age 16, and a spy for the US Government. Though no one actually knows that she's a part time spy though. Besides her being a badass agent, she's pretty much normal(ish). She does all the things a normal teenager would do; read, cry about school, gawk at boys, and so on. Most of the time her life is normal in every way. But when the guy she threw in jail comes back and sends men looking for her and her team, Bexley is sent to a training camp with tons of different people in training. Bex is forced to go through hell, and she meets another person here in camp. Slowly, she uncovers his secrets. But when their unit is bombed in the middle of nowhere, who can Bexley trust? Bexley then discovers another unnerving truth about the man she threw in jail; he's got people at her school working against her, and she comes to face with who he was in her past.

I never actually feared death, nor did I fear dying. I think I had a pretty healthy awareness of it. I was more afraid of what came after it. I know, pretty morbid thoughts for a seventeen year old to have, but when your life is all around "perfect" what can you expect? Not everything goes right... ~~SD~~ Shailene O'Laughlin faced a life altering tragedy, one that cost her her life and her identity. She's transported to The Barracks and forced to be made part of a war and a world that she doesn't understand. To make matters worse, it's a world that she has no place in.
