As You Wish

Once upon a time there was a princess and a prince...
Wait that's how stories usually go right? Wrong. Or at least not in mine.
There's no prince or princess, just people like you and I. Now where were we?.. Ah yes.

Walking along the road I realized something, I'm cold and its raining. And as if everything couldn't get any worse, the rain starts to pound harder on the tops of my shoulders... Wow, that's unfortunate.

It's almost 4 in the morning when I finally reach my apartment building. Out of the corner of my eye I see him walking toward the doors of the apartment building. I kept my head forward and studied him from where I was, and I could tell he had not noticed me yet.

He just stood there. In front of the apartment building doors, and I was getting kind of impatient due to the fact that he was standing in the middle of the two doors.

"Can you please go in or move out of the way? It is really cold out here." I said. His frame stiffened and I thought he was going to stay there but, surprise surprise; he turned toward me and kindly opened the door.

"As you wish." As he shut the doors in my face leaving me gobsmacked right there thinking he was being a gentleman. My mistake.
