The hair wasn't his thing, nor was the fleshy mounds all the boys seemed to be obsessed with. He hated having them so much. Between his legs felt so empty, too. Mary told him he was a perfect little girl when he wore the pink dresses and little bows, but he felt awkward with what Mary put him in. John, who wanted a son, was happy to let Dean wear boy's clothes and throw the baseball around. Sure, Sammy came four years later, and he loved Sammy, but Dean was older and easier to play boy games with until Sam got old enough. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels.
