Dan's writing was the only thing that made him feel ok. Phil just wanted to make a friend. When their worlds calash, both boys are put to the test of surviving each other. Dan can't focus and Phil can't smile. Phil can't keep up with Dan and Dan can't control himself enough to slow down. No matter how hard they try they can't seem to figure it out.
