A young and promising entrepreneur, follows the lead of a family friend and his childhood mentor, in the art of perfumery in mid-1800 Grasse, France. Reviewing the formulae of his beloved guide, he creates a unique portion of his own, that stands to set him apart from other producers. This he will learn, will be the reason his life and work are in danger and his unusual relationship with a runaway American dame. As his product grows in demand and is quickly selling like no other perfume in France, envy is stirred within the evolving Industry. This would eventually lead to a heartbreaking discovery and a gruesome murder like no other, as merchants from around the world begin a desperate pursuit to unearth, the perfumer's secret.
