Maddison Chassey thought she had her whole life figured out. Trials for the Canadian National Team, the Olympics, a steady boyfriend, the greatest best friend in the world, and a loving family. But one wrong turn at the trials turns her whole life upside down. Injuries happen, but having one right now, less than a year before Nationals, is anyone's worst nightmare. Now she has to learn how to be a normal teenager, and return, although temporarily, to the place she thought she was done with. High school. And just because you're a legend on the slopes, doesn't mean you are everywhere else.

Brady Parker. The best hockey player Holloway University had seen in years. He was essentially guaranteed a position on any professional team he wanted. That was until someone smashed his knee in on the night before the biggest game of his life. A year after the event that should have been career ending, he was back on the ice. But it wasn't without its struggle. Tatum Hartley. Biology student, aspiring doctor, and current assistant to the physical therapist for the Holloway Falcons. She adored her job, except for the fact that her most time-consuming patient was the one who wanted to be there the least. But given his knee was smashed in, she couldn't say the attitude was unexpected. Not to mention, the investigation into who almost ended Brady's career was still ongoing. Nobody seemed to know exactly what happened that night- or rather, they just weren't willing to say. Sticks and stones may break their bones, but their secrets are what will cast the final blow. ●・○・♥︎・○・● Approximately 93.4k words Complete
