After twolegs settled around the lake, they destroyed the territory as well as the moon pool, leaving the clans defenseless and without star clan to guide them. Many were forced to move away, but some thought the life of a kitty pet would be a better choice if they were unable to survive without the care of a clan. So, after many moons blood from the four clans was passed down through kittypets and loners around the lake. One day a kittypet named Bolt escaped with his mate into the forest so they could start a life of their own.
