My name is Arrior. I was condemned to Earth at the age of 16. It's been a year since I passed through "The Portal." "What is this mysterious portal?" you may ask. Well in simple terms, when you pass through the portal all your cells break into pieces and you regenerate in a designated location. My location was Earth. In your head you may ask "What's so wrong with earth?" Well in case you didn't notice, earth is dying; slowly but surely. I was sent here by my step father, the Great King Arthur. Not the legendary British Leader, who defeated the Saxons, but a greedy and evil man. He framed me as the person who killed my own mother. But we both know who did it. He just didn't want to take the fall on that one. She was beloved by all. She was the spitting image of my grandfather even in her beliefs. She believed that all life was beautiful and should therefore be treated fairly. But my father had a different view on the matter. He saw Earth as trophy not as the beautiful thing it was. My mother saw the evil in his heart and tried desperately to save him. Constantly you would here my mom tell my dad about all the wonders in the world and how everything was precious. But it was to no avail. So instead of listening to his loving wife he hung her. Everything changed my mother died. I changed. I knew what my father had done and I also knew I had to stop him. Not only for myself but for mom. This is my story.

"The way I see it, things don't just happen for no reason. Everything that happened, happens, and will happen all have a reason for happening. I think are fates are already written, but how they are played out is up to us as people. I think that our destinies are inserted into our lives the moment we're born. We just have to figure out what that destiny is. We are all meant for something bigger than us." Glen looks back at me. "I don't think like that. I refuse to believe that my life was ruined for some greater purpose. If that is so, I say screw it! I don't want any part of whatever destiny this world has lined up for me." He isn't angry. He means what he says. He refuses to believe as much as I believe otherwise. "I guess we'll see in the end, won't we?" He nods. "We'll see." In a world where there are chipped soldiers that kill and torture at the will of one evil dictator, what hope is to be found? Is there a reason why Glen Yarder's life was ruined when he was merely twelve years old? Is it fate that he did the things he did? Is it fate that brought him together with certain important people? Could this chipped broken man actually make a difference? He doesn't think so. Cover Credit goes to @StarlightNight13
