June is a regular girl with no real talents except for swimming which she knows will do her no good. She lives alone with her father that is looking for a job but can't seem to find one and won't say anything about the mother that left June and her father a long time ago. June doesn't remember anything important from her past except that ever since she was little she has had no friends and was always known to be the "freak with the poor father." But one day she meets someone as peculiar as she is and they form a friendship. But when her new friend tells her news that she has been waiting for her whole life, her destiny seems to shift and she finally rises from the water.
