"Mely listen, whatever I tell you it stays between us and us only this is deep secrets. But the reason I left is because I needed to protect you guys from danger that was coming." Danger? Was someone planning to harm us? 

"Protect us from what? And how are you to protect us?" I was letting curiosity get the best of me, but I stopped myself knowing I should ask one question at a time.
