Countries fall into darkness as clouds of smoke cover the world. When May and her friends find their own country slowly dying they seek answers for the curse that has befallen their world. If they find the answers they are looking for will they just lead to more questions or lead to answers they don't want to hear? As they travel on they realize the horrible truth about the Smoke. Upon finding a person who can answer their questions, they have to decide if they can take on the burden or let their world die.
