After the death of his wife, Grisha Jaeger feels like its a kind due change of scenery for his two children.

When he suddenly uproots them, he moves all the way from Germany to Miami.

Normally that'd be a good thing, it being a nice warm city, with resorts and beaches, except when you can't be around the very thing that makes you change. Water.
