She's a genie with wishes of her own.

The books I have are very old. I've read all of them at least twice, and now I'm trying to think of ways to make reading them interesting again. I lay on the bed again. Think of six impossible things, like Alice and her father did in the Disney movie. I think. Okay. One, genies exist. That one is almost always the first. I can never really think of impossible things that have actually happened after that so I move to ones that haven't. Two, I'll get an outfit that has pants. Three, one day I'll meet a master who won't ask for money or fortune of some sort. Four, I'll actually like one of my masters. Five, I won't have to wait long after I wake up to get a new job. I roll over in my bed, pressing my face into the pillow and sighing. Six, I'll be free of this stupid lamp someday.

These were all impossible things because no one would ever waste their precious three wishes on her. Would they?

She has found a new master who is completely different from her previous ones, but her lamp is nowhere to be found. So why has she been placed in here?
