Katharine has always hated them, the leeches which call themselves the higher race, and she's always killed them alone. Alone because there never has been someone out there who has the skills required to out-match a vampire.
But, she might be wrong, maybe, just maybe there other humans which have the talent to kill the leaches like she does. Maybe she isn't alone after all, maybe her sister is wrong.
Her doubts are only confirmed when she meets him - the only vampire hunter apart from her.
