The Other Ranger [ Lord Of The Rings x Silmarillion ] by Silmarilz1701
111 parts Complete
#1 in Tolkien, #1 in Silmarillion, #1 in Lord of the Rings, #1 in Elrohir, #1 in Dunedain First in LotR series, Fëanoriel Chronicles. Written in 2012. Awaiting rewrite. *** Miril has been raised by Halbarad of the dúnedain after her forebearers came from Arnor, and before that Numenor, and even before that from Beleriand. She and her family are destined for things she doesn't quite comprehend yet. Though a seasoned ranger already, having faced the trials of the North for nearly 40 years, things hardly get easier with age. But before she can step into her own story, she journeys with her best friends, the twin sons of Elrond, running errands leading up to the War of the Ring. Her love of battle and craving for revenge for a death in her past leads to a discovery coming to light that some thought should've been kept hidden. They also might point to the truth of her parentage. When she starts having strange dreams about a swan ship, an oathbreaker, and a shining jewel, things just get crazier. Elrohir/OC *** Internal timeline will stretch from beginning of Lord of the Rings into the Fourth Age post War of the Ring with flashbacks. Needs a rewrite and general editing since it's 6+ years old, but I still like the premise and it spawned many sequels so... Please bear that in mind. *** FOR LORE: -BOOK CANON, not movies -Some liberties taken with the Ban of the Valar. -Technically this is Ninth Walker, not Tenth Walker (a more canon compliant version).

Do We Let Them Stand Alone? by JenikaFoust

Galadriel has seen more war in five years than most would experience in a lifetime. She and her brother, Finrod, commanded the Great War's most elite death squad: the Loriens. Together they completed untold thousands of missions, destroying some of the Enemy's most valuable strongholds and weapons. In the last crucial battle of the War, Finrod was killed by Sauron, an Enemy lieutenant of reputed cruelty on and off the battlefield. Morgoth was killed in the same battle, and the Loriens were sent home. Galadriel and her commandos were expected to re-assimilate with the civilian population. Galadriel has struggled to adapt for months; but with her brother gone and so many of the Enemy soldiers, including Sauron, at large, how can she put down the weapons that have kept her safe for so long? Halbrand finally makes his way north to take refuge in the great city of Lindon, where a chance encounter with a half-elf lord puts him directly into the path of Galadriel. He's done fighting. It's time to atone for his misdeeds. If his identity is exposed, can he make the person who matters most to him understand? The two journey to the Southlands, where an orc father is pursuing a secret of his own. What is Adar hunting? That's a lot of very dramatic questions for a single description. All that cinematic fluff aside, I hope you'll take a look at my original fiction piece, as it has cost me many brain cells and many hours of sleep. #2 in haladriel trying to get in the top 100 of the lordoftherings tag but I keep topping out really close to 100...one day...
