Within a little forest bound town deep within Northern Carolina exists the strangest community of people you’ll ever meet. With those that read books without words, dance under the light of every full moon, fear the sight of a raven and believe nightmares can kill. This was the home of the strange and often labelled crazy Elli-May, aunt to the fresh faced graduate; Katie Marsh – the inheritor to ‘La vie magique,’ an enchanting little shop promising that of palm reading, fortune telling and mystical items and spells to satisfy the many. Katie has never believed in magic, nor of miracles and the sort. No, she has always been one to think that in life what you see is what you get. And, as all stories go, her mind is about to be changed forever.

Curse

"So you have a life threatening disease that could kill you?" Caroline asked for clarification on what I said. "Well yeah I guess so." I said with a chuckle. She stared at me in shock at how lightly I took this matter. "B-but isn't there...a cure or something? How is this even possible? Werewolves don't get sick!" She exclaimed with sadness and concern. "I don't understand it either. I was just born this way. My Aunt Ronnie hasn't really told me much about it." I replied with a sigh and continued," I'm a werewolf but I lack the ability to shift. I can't even communicate with my wolf like a normal werewolf. I don't even think I have one." "So you're not a normal werewolf. There is a chance that i might lose you. And there's nothing I can do about it."Caroline stated more than asked. She stared at the ceiling and I watched as a tear fell down her face. "I don't think there was anything anyone could do." I replied. I stared at the ceiling as a tear of my own fell down my face. Why me? ************ Ryan Montgomery's life has never been perfect.
