“Are you afraid of dying, Rennie?”

“No.”

“I am. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

“You’re not afraid of dying, you’re afraid of what comes after you’re there,” I whispered. “People aren’t afraid of heights, they’re afraid of falling. They’re not afraid of the dark, but of what they could find in it.”

Serenity (Rennie) Moore ( age 16 ) hated his name. It was meant for a female, not a male. All it did was remind him of what he had lost, what made him depressed and suicidal, and the only thing that could mend him was his love and passion for music and the arts.
When Rennie was ten years old, his mother was murdered. His father rarely came home, and his grandparents practically raised him. Two days before his fifteenth birthday, he attempted suicide, setting himself on fire in a public area. Unfortunately for Rennie, firemen were able to put out the fire, continuing his life in misery. Now, he is left with burn scars and knife scars from all his failed attempts.
His whole life was just a shadow lurking in the woods, waiting for the right time to strike and burn, like a wolf hunting for it's prey.

Alec Kendall's (age 19) life was pretty normal. He was your typical bad ass rocker/skater kid. When he was a child, his parents left him on the side of the road, only to have child services snatch him up and throw him in foster care. Family after family, he would run away. He ended up living on the streets, playing for any band that would take him in. He currently plays in a band called, "And Then We Dance".
