Amarie Overland's world is color. She paints it, lives it, loves it, and, because of her synesthesia, hears it too. It's the fuel for her magical ability, the figurative and literal highlight of her world.
So for her challenge rite, a rite of passage in her magical education designed to test her weakest points, of course her teacher sends her to the darkest, most abandoned part of the city on the night of a new moon.
Of course she's scared. Who wouldn't be, even without her dependence on color? But she knows she can handle it. After all, there's nothing out here that can realistically hurt her, nothing that can stand up to her magical ability.

Antisepticeye and Darkiplier (not Dark Septiplier). Not set in our world (for the majority of the story), has magic and stuff. Just a warning, this may or may not get pretty dark. Luna's life isn't exactly 'normal' her parents are people you would call sorcerers. They don't belong in the normal human world but the world they once lived has been taken over by the Darkness and is unsafe for young children. When Luna turns 16 she is to cross to this world to not return until she decides to have kids of her own. As at 16 her abilities start showing which is also too dangerous because Luna herself isn't what her parents expected her to be.Complete

Book One. It's a strange, even mad world indeed. She became the deity to protect magic, and her followers called herself "Children of Adaygue". 3135 years later, after countless of wars, magic flickers and loses its meaning. But the people "blessed by Adaygue" face segregation, racism, and exploitation from the countries they live in. The story revolves around a group of people from all over the world: Madleine and Marik Winterfeldt, siblings by choice and Gene, a young noble living in the old Holy Empire of German Nation, a nation riddled with magical infested rifts as literal scars of war, and in continuesly danger of being at war again with it's powerful neigbour, The Holy French Empire of the Sun. On the other side of the planet, in the United Kingdom of America, magic abled people have more possibility to work with their "blessing", if it is viewed more useful. This means to fight against giant beasts from faultlines, that have strange connections to rifts. There is a band of people quite successful with it and one in particular is celebrated like a popstar: Hades, (self-declared) God of the Underworld, trying to survive a world where the only worth a person like him is how much money he generates for the large companies called "guilds". It's a world ruled by chaos. A mad world indeed.
