Jade, after the death of her boyfriend Justin and his parents, inherits the throne because of her powers. She is forced to race against time, and her growing anger, to kill the leader of the Merroup, Justin's twin brother West. If she takes too long, the nuclear warfare West promises will destroy the earth, if she's too fast, the governments around the world will label her a threat to humanity.

As Jade is forced to chase after false trails and is plunged deeper into the world of the Méylarè, she is pushed to extremes. Both physically challenging places and mentally challenging stress, this is her final decider. Along side her stand her friends, Darcy, Chris and Jack, Jade must make choices for the world, that either the human race will pay for, or survive to appreciate.
