Forsaking Darkness (Rewriting)

When eighteen-year-old Ira Nevsky is out hunting for her family, she hardly expects to find a helpless human--much less encounter a vicious chimera attack that renders one of her arms unless. Then she must find a way to smuggle the human to safety. It's difficult to defend the greater good when that greater good is illegal and a rare delicacy to any beast roaming the lands. This forces Ira and her family to travel across Zorara--a land riddled with demons and malicious monsters--and finally get answers to their questions. But, they find themselves with more questions than answers. Can they survive the perilous journey? Ira is determined to get her family to safety--even if it kills her.

This is Marc Fischer's first encounter with real life mutrenixes, or mutants. Within his first twenty-four hours he manages to get the group into trouble with the law, which leads them to leaving the village and adventure into frightening territories where crime runs rampant. Marc discovers along the way how obsessed the land is with his humanity. Or is he even human anymore? And, who put him there in the first place?

The fate of the world depends on a half-demon, her subjugate, two demi-gods, the child of a gorgon, and an angelic demon. Will the fatalities be worth saving Earth or will it prove to be too much for the group?
