M'kay. So you know choose your own adventure books? Basically at the end of each chapter you can comment on a line to vote for choices that will impact the story (example: Do they chase after someone or let them go in favour of doing something else). These choices will impact the story, development of characters, and even who lives or dies. You will have no information about what these choices will do beyond what the characters know, much like in if you were in their situation. This is a au, (I love aus so so so much) in which they have powers. Not saying who, what, when, where, or why yet and unless you make the choices that lead to discovery you simply won't find out. Some things WILL happen, regardless of choices (for example, if choice A lead you to meeting Patton and choice B lead you to Logan, You would still meet both, but the one who is voted for will be a more significant character, but it will be fairly equal) early on in the story choices may appear twice, allowing a second chance to discover that character/event/info, and choices will be fairly obvious (ie, Patton at a dog park, Logan at a Library) but as stakes get higher it gets harder. Can you discover the truth and keep everyone alive? I have a main story so updates will be infrequent. Which choice will be decided when I write the next chapter based off who has the most votes at the time. I may write all alternate endings in the distant future if people want, but I won't get ahead of myself. Yeah, ok I doubt anyone's still here. I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts. Her mom had passed away from a stroke and she had no one to rely on but an untie that mom had said she should seek in case something happened. She needed to travel alone to her mom auntie's home, without any sort of companion. She didn't dare accept anyone who offered to help her because mom had said she should trust just her auntie and anyone else. She didn't know if bad men would try to snatch her again and her only desire was to find a safe place she could live her pacific life, the way she did when her mom was alive.
