Anid Wake's first memory is of waking up in a cornfield. Through hard work, lies, and one good friend, she became an Assistant, a more or less glamorous role. When her Magician, Austin, ends up the next victim in a trend of disappearances, she embarks on a quest to find him- with the help of 5 semi-reluctant Assistants.
There's monsters, Magicians, and a mysterious asshole who won't leave their party alone. And the closer their group gets to finding their Magician, the more Anid uncovers a history more convoluted than the one she already has, which begs the question: Who is Anid Wake?
