Reckless Youths

"Come on Lil, think about it." Tyler glances over at me, his eyes taking in the full extent of my frustration. He is measuring how long I'll be mad for. His sigh tells me he knows it will be a while.
"I am the only one thinking about it."
"What's one kiss?"
I bring my fingers to my lips to blow on them. The damn car's heaters are useless. Tyler takes another look at me and takes my hand in his, the instant warm bringing feeling back. My joints are melting.
I'm still mad.
"This is a bad idea," I repeat but louder, stronger. They need to know where I stand. "It's a bad idea and I don't want to do it but I will."
Colin's laugh relaxes the tense atmosphere and Tyler responds with a grin, his grin, so Tyler-y I can't help but smile back.
"God I love you, Lily," he tells me.
"Yeah yeah," I chuckle, giving him a light shove. "You can love me later."
