Rosalinda Harper is an eighteen year old bookworm that just moved to obscurité, France with her father who is an inventor that travels to sell his products that are supposed to "make life easier". The whole town believes they are strange and outcasts the two, only being polite in their presence. Rose is used to being an outcast though and believes she has been living a boring life, for she only wishes for adventure. If only she knew her dreams would come true one stormy night when she is attacked by the same wolves that took her father, because he trespassed into a man's "Territory". When the brave girl volunteers to take the place of her father the cruel man knows she is different from the other girl's he has brought to his home.
Rose is more confused than anything when the cruel man, Julius, gains a place in her heart, building a bond with him.
Julius King is a man with a cold heart, who was cursed by a witch (which he did not know at the time) after he refused to marry her. She cursed him with another piece of himself, a beast.
"For every time the moonlight shines upon you and everyone in this castle you shall turn into what you truly are, a beast. This shall be a reminder of the pain you caused me on this day, for nobody but I could love you and if I cannot have your love then you shall have none! If before the lunar eclipse in five years time you find love then my curse shall be broken and your beast will be controlled.If not you shall stay this way forever, alone." It has been almost five years and the eclipse is coming up soon, Julius has been traveling with his "pack" all around Europe and has finally decided to give up hope, until he meets his rose.
