Rose is badass girl that lives in a horrible yet happy foster care home in Manhattan, NY that gets babies droped on thier doorstep every few months .she however is orphaned by a car crash killing her whole family a week after she was born on thier way home, or so she is told.
Rose is almost fully emancipated from her foster home and had even found herself a good place to live when handsome, sexy, and serious Dimitri kidnapped her taking her to upstate new york claiming that she is part of one of the four sacred clans that were created to protect everybody else on earth from demons and is  second in line for the head chair after her brother.she learns that this is true and slowely warms up to her new family and is set on making dimitri hers with her charming flitatiousness. her usual self is stripped away from her as a elegant mature and dangerous demon possessed double personality awakens and rose fights to keep her under control finding that her dead father had been hidding secrets about her from everybody.rose also fights to save her clan from a rival clan teamed up with the demons, but is she good enough to be everything they need her to be?
