If Clarke were completely honest with herself, she had no reason to be back to her home town. Her mother had moved away years ago after her father's death and relocated to a new states, practically across the country from the little town that she was raised in. By now, her house was sold to a new family, her old best friends had surely forgotten her name, and no one would remember the tragedy of her father's death. If all those were true, then Clarke really had no reason to come back. The only excuse she could think of was that she stilled owed Bellamy Blake a $1.50 for the grape soda he bought in the the summer of freshman year.
