Eirian has been having the same dreams for a while now, and they all feature one common thing, a mysterious guy names Einar. Is it a sign of a wistful relationship brewing, or something a little more sinister?

When I was a little girl, I believed in fairy tales. I believed in princes and princesses and knights in shining armor. I believed in forever and happily ever afters. I was ten when reality hit me. My mom brought the evil home with her and there was no escaping it. That's when I learned that fairy tales were just that: fairy tales. The bad stuff is real, though. The difference is that I now know that the monsters and evil villains don't always wear capes and ugly scars. No: most of the time, they appear normal. I'm drowning in reality, in my life, and I've given up hope that a knight in shining armor will rescue me. But maybe... maybe I don't need a Prince Charming after all. Maybe a knight without the shining armor and a broken smile will be enough to save me. *Please note this is only a five chapter sample of the published book.

Dreams.... Dreams are like a slip of the subconscious. A peek at what's hidden, what's supposed to be forgotten and never again remembered. But what if these dreams become more real than they're supposed to? What if they begin to distort reality? For 17 year old Aainaa Stephens, these dreams are a normal occurrence. Did you ever wonder what your dreams meant? One second you are in fairyland and then the next, gruesome things happens, like the unicorn stabbing the fairy princess's face over and over, and then you wake up feeling if you got holes in your face. According to most, they are psychological, traumas, or desires that are so strong they manifest inside the mind when the body rests. All my life, I lived in a normal neighborhood, normal friends, normal family, but then this dream started, same event every night that got me thinking if I ever experienced a trauma, or a hidden desire. But few tell that dreams come from real experience unknown consciously, but the mind can only sort of remind you that it happened by making you dream it... Do we see monsters because we imagine them, or do we really see them?
