Jo-an is 16 going on 17. She and her mother, Marissa Gola, live in London. Jo-ans' father Elie Gola was African, from the DRC. Her dad and twin brother died when she was only four years of age. John , her twin, and her dad were on their way to a hunting camp when they were involved in a car accident and announced dead at the scene. Her dad was a pastor so her and her mom are very religious. Her grandmother, Lisa Grande, contacted them and asked them to move back to Atlanta, Georgia, she thought it was important for Jo-an to meet her family and them to move on. ATL is very different from London, her family is not religious at all and Jo-an meets a guy, his name is Jarald aka JR, the only problem is that he's a thug....

It was 5 years later. Time has changed. The seasons came and gone as did people.
