'Twas created by great wizards many years ago, who divided the world into two realms: the Internal and the External, and allows a person to travel between the worlds. After disappearing for countless years, thieves recovered it, only for the watchmen to seize its possession. And when Erin finally got a hold of it out of curiosity, she figured out how to use it. She journeyed to the External Realm, our modern world of supposed evil, with a short-lived quest to search for a lost wizard. But before long, she discovered romance, betrayal, and complicated turns in her path. And then, she found herself amidst a bloody struggle of which she has little control.

While there, Adellia meets a young blacksmith by the name of Faron and gets sucked into a plot that goes against her, and her mother's wishes. Will she be able to venture into the unknown, and survive out of the watchful eye of the palace? This book has sexual reference and mentions of things that could possibly be triggering to some - e.g. young motherhood and loss of a parent. This work is usually split into two parts, but I have decided to take down the second part, and consider the first part, one book for now, so I can work on the second.
